Nisar's Biography
Nisar Loynab was born in 1993 in Fairfax, Virginia. He grew up an all-around athlete, playing soccer, football, and basketball, and first found the mats as a teenager. What started as a way to channel his energy quickly became the center of his life.
In 2009 he moved to San Diego to chase jiu-jitsu full time, training daily in one of the most competitive environments in the sport. After more than a decade of hard training and competition, he earned his black belt in 2018.
As a competitor, Nisar built his name on the IBJJF circuit, taking Open titles across the country in 2019 that included gold at the San Diego Spring Open, the Las Vegas Summer Open, and the Portland Open. His style is known for heavy pressure, back control, and a dangerous 50/50 guard.
Today he brings that same competitive edge to his coaching at Legion. Nisar leads the No-Gi Intermediate-Advanced classes for students ready to sharpen their game, and he teaches Fundamentals to give newer members a rock-solid foundation.
