The class follows an EIGHT week curriculum, which can be joined at any stage.

Nogi Fundamentals Class Schedule

Our Nogi Fundamentals class is thoughtfully scheduled every Monday and Wednesday from 7:30 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. We are also adding a Friday All Levels Nogi Class, in the same time slot. This class will be tailored to the attending group and often revisit the lessons of the Mon & Wed class with some more advanced details.

Who Is This Class For?

This class is the perfect bridge for those who have completed our 5-week beginner course, are currently enrolled in Gi Fundamentals, or anyone looking to further their Nogi training in a structured, approachable way. Whether you’ve been on the fence about trying Nogi due to fears of complexity or simply looking for a way to systematically enhance your skills, this class is designed with you in mind.

Curriculum for Nogi Fundamentals

The Nogi Fundamentals class follows a meticulously crafted four-month-long curriculum that covers all the basics you’ll need to build a strong foundation in Nogi Jiu-Jitsu. It includes guard playing as it is done in nogi, with seated and supine guards. It includes front headlock, turtle attacks and defense. Guard passing, takedowns. Submissions, including chokes, armlocks and yes, LEGLOCKS.

Who is teaching?

We’re honored to have Coach Sloan Clymer, one of the world’s premier Nogi practitioners, lead this class. Sloan is the perfect choice for this class as he owns a very complete Nogi game, with a lot of experience in wrestling and MMA fighting. He has been teaching Nogi at Legion for 3+ years now, with his 6pm flagship class regularly attracting 50+ students.
