Legion gets a visit from UK Royal Navy’s BJJ Team

The Royal Navy Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu team stopped by Legion AJJ in San Diego this week while touring California to train with some of the region’s many experts. Coach Miha Perhavec hosted the group for a private leglock workshop and a judo-for-jiu-jitsu class, giving them a taste of Legion’s signature mix of precision, creativity, and high-level coaching.

Miha kept things focused and hands-on, tailoring both sessions to the team’s style and experience. The leglock workshop dug into entries, safety, and finishing mechanics under real pressure, while the judo session was all about sharp takedowns and smooth transitions that work in live rolls.

It was great having the Royal Navy squad on the mats with us. It marks the first foreign military unit visit that follows many domestic ones here at Legion. They brought a ton of energy and professionalism, and everyone left with new ideas and mutual respect. The global jiu-jitsu community feels a little smaller after a visit like this.
