Legion closed it’s doors on March 12th as one of the first if not the first major jiu jitsu academies in America. We did so out of concern for COVID-19 which prompted the lockdown we’re all familiar with.
On June 12th we opened our doors again after much anticipation and began offering classes. We did so in accordance with local guidelines and reopening strategies. At the same time, we also sent out a detailed survey to our members to find out their preferences.
Not just preferences, but also their own personal risk when it comes to the coronavirus. We tried to give the people who have a low personal risk a chance to resume training in a manner similar to pre-pandemic times. As you can imagine this is hard for a sport / martial art on the opposite side of the spectrum when it comes to social distancing.
Now we’re very excited to announce 2 new special Socially Distant Jiu Jitsu classes! We have thought long and hard about the features of this type of class and we’re excited to present them now.
These are our core features, we will add more if necessary.

Students, instructors, and everyone else in the academy. Social distancing is practiced throughout the academy.
Academy is sanitized before and after training.
Our janitor is a black belt. In jiu jitsu and killing germs.
