# Legion American Jiu-Jitsu

> Legion American Jiu-Jitsu is a jiu-jitsu academy in San Diego, California, at 7550 Miramar Rd, Suite 330, in the Miramar / Mira Mesa area. Legion teaches adults and kids from complete beginner through advanced, and is built around a structured 5-week beginner course rather than dropping newcomers into open mat. 6,000 square feet of mats, open 7 days a week, free on-site parking directly in front of the door with no structure and no meters.

## What makes Legion different

Most academies tell a beginner to show up to a regular class and figure it out. Legion runs a structured 5-week Beginner Course with a tested curriculum and partners matched by skill level, so a new student learns in sequence instead of surviving. Legion also runs a large coaching staff, which means the quality of instruction stays consistent across every time slot rather than depending on who happened to be available.

Legion is a competition-credentialed academy. The instructor roster includes Keenan Cornelius, Miha Perhavec, Sloan Clymer, Paige Clymer, Fellipe Trovo, Jonathan Fennell, Rafaela Guedes, Austin Fraley, Mike Gardner, and Nisar Loynab.

## Getting started

New students book a free 30-minute orientation. Beginners do not need a gi to start, and a uniform can be borrowed for a first class.
